You can browse a catalog index until you find items of interest.
For example, you can type just the first
few letters of an author's last name and then browse the Author index. When you browse
the Subject index, you may find cross-references that can lead you to related
subjects. You can browse the Title, Author, Subject, Call Number, or Series
indexes of the catalog.
-
Type your search word or part of the word in the Browse search for
box.
-
Select an index in the Search by box.
-
Click Go. If you chose Author, Subject, or Series, the search results
list shows headings in the index. Click a heading to see the titles associated
with it. The Subject index may include cross-reference links to related
subjects. If you chose Title or Call Number, the search results list shows
the titles or call numbers directly. Click any item to see more information.
You can browse back and forth in any index.
Tip: You can limit your browse search to a certain branch
catalog. Click Open Search Options.
